Mental health care, the way it should work
Shrinkty is a psychiatric practice serving Tennesseans ages 13 and up, with offices in Murfreesboro, McMinnville, and Dickson and telehealth statewide. We were founded in 2022 with a simple conviction: getting psychiatric care in Tennessee shouldn't take months of waiting, an hour of driving, or a leap of faith.
Our story
Shrinkty was founded by Joshua Davenport, a nationally board-certified physician assistant specializing in mental health and addiction medicine, after his own family's experience with mental illness and addiction showed him how hard it can be to find timely, quality care — even for people who know the system.
What started as a telemedicine practice has grown into a full psychiatric clinic with three Middle Tennessee offices, a multi-disciplinary team, and services that range from first-time evaluations to Spravato® treatment for treatment-resistant depression.
Our mission
To provide compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment with a multi-disciplinary team of specialists — empowering people to take control of their lives by actively treating and managing mental health and substance use disorders.
How we're different
- Medical depth. Our providers are board-certified clinicians, and our medical director is a board-certified psychiatrist. Diagnosis and medication decisions are made carefully — and revisited as you go.
- Both doors open. See us by secure video from anywhere in Tennessee, or in person in Murfreesboro, McMinnville, or Dickson. Many patients use both.
- The full spectrum. Because we offer therapy, medication management, ADHD testing, genetic testing, and Spravato®, your care can step up or down without starting over somewhere new.
- Real access. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicare and TRICARE, and treat patients ages 13 and up.
Where we practice
Our offices are in Murfreesboro (2462 Old Fort Parkway), McMinnville (477 North Chancery Street #5), and Dickson (404 E College Street, Suite K), and telehealth appointments are available to patients anywhere in Tennessee, Monday through Friday, 9am–5pm.
